The TETRA-G TBS11 Base Station manages a full TETRA carrier performing all Level 1 & 2 functions of the TETRA (V&D) standard and enabling any combination of 1-4 voice or data channels.
The full Dispatcher including hardware comprises a standard multimedia PC, a monitor/keyboard with mouse, a microphone, a speaker and a press-to-talk switch for voice calls. Customers may choose to purchase ‘software only’ or a complete Simoco supplied hardware solution.
The TETRA-G Voice over IP Recorder is a digital voice recorder designed with user functionality in mind - a powerful software application that enables flexible recording and playback options on a standard specification PC.

Gorgon Liquefied Natural Gas
Simoco completed a historic venture to deliver a digital TETRA radio system to the Gorgon Project on Barrow Island, Western Australia, the largest single resource natural gas project in Australia’s history.
Simoco deployed a fully integrated communications network; supplying a range of portable radios and mobile and marine radios for use in an office environment and in vehicles and vessels. Also assisting with the infrastructure of the project, Simoco delivered 22 radio frequency base sites to enable communication across multiple sites.
The integrated TETRA communication system has been utilised by the construction staff and ultimately this will extend to over 3000 employees, once the project meets the scheduled completion date of 2014.
Queensland - RTA Yarwun 2 Expansion
The Rio Tinto Yarwun alumina refinery is about 10km northwest of Gladstone, Central Queensland.
Simoco was selected to expand the Yarwun Plants TETRA system and developed an integrated TetraFlex® TETRA solution which could seamlessly operate with the existing SmartNet network, while offering a migration strategy to a larger Trunked TETRA solution as the site require it.
Bechtel GLNG Project
Bechtel GLNG is a liquefied natural gas plant in Queensland, Australia and the project is a pioneering initiative to convert coal seam natural gas to liquefied natural gas.
Through its channel partner, Jones Communication of Gladstone, Simoco was selected to supply the Bechtel GLNG plant with a complete end to end TETRA solution which incorporated a range of new functionality and additional benefits including; fast call set-up time, group communication support, direct mode operation between individual radios, packet data and circuit data transfer services, security settings and improved economy of frequency spectrum.
